Carers FIRST appoints Adam Rowe as Chief Executive Officer

June 27, 2017

Carers FIRST has appointed Adam Rowe as Chief Executive Officer. He will be succeeding Peter Turner, who has led the organisation since 2011.

Adam Rowe has over 20 years of experience within the charity sector. He was a senior executive at Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) for 12 years, working across financial, company, and customer services in various roles. Since 2014 he has been Chief Executive of Remap, a national charity that works with volunteers to design and build bespoke equipment for people with disabilities and special needs. Adam also has a strong track record of Non-Executive work within the sector, having been a Trustee at Porchlight.

David Fielding, Managing Partner of Attenti, who led the initial stakeholder engagement process and search on behalf of Carers FIRST said, “Adam is a highly experienced leader with a strong connection to the charity sector, a thirst for working with people from all walks of life, and superb commercial acumen. His appointment marks an exciting new stage for Carers FIRST. We wish Adam and the organisation all the very best for the future.”

Reporting to the Chairman of Carers FIRST, John Purdie, Adam will continue growing and consolidating Carers FIRST’s ongoing success. He will be taking up the role of Chief Executive from August.
