The Raspberry Pi Foundation is a UK-based educational charity that works to put the power of computing and digital making into the hands of people all over the world. We want more people to be able to harness the power of digital technologies for work, to solve problems that matter to them, and to express themselves creatively. The Foundation is governed a board of trustees that is responsible for ensuring we use our resources effectively to advance our charitable goals, and that we comply with all relevant charity, company, and other legal and regulatory requirements. The board also oversees the activities of the Foundation’s Group companies, including Raspberry Pi Trading, Raspberry Pi North America, and the CoderDojo Foundation. The Foundation has grown rapidly in scale and complexity over the past six years, and has ambitious plans for the future.
The Foundation is now looking for an outstanding individual with significant financial experience to join the board of trustees. You will bring significant hands on experience of accounting, finance and financial strategy. You will also have the opportunity to shape the future vision and direction of a fast-growing, globally-focused non-profit that has big ambitions and the resources to realise them. Working closely with the senior executive team, you will help us manage growth effectively and build a sustainable platform that can advance our educational mission all over the world.
The role is unremunerated and reasonable expenses are paid in line with the Foundation’s expenses policy. The anticipated total time commitment for the role of Trustee averages over the year at one day per month. This is an exciting role at a time of significant opportunities that will give challenge and reward in equal measure.
