RSPB appoints Rebecca Munro as Director of Fundraising and Communications

RSPB, The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds, has appointed Rebecca Munro as their new Director of Fundraising and Communications.

Rebecca Munro was Communications and Advocacy Director at the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS). There, she implemented a new global development agenda and led innovative and award-winning campaigns advocating for the education of girls around the world. Before this, Rebecca worked as a freelance journalist, writing for publications such as The Financial Times and Sydney Morning Herald. Rebecca has also previously worked as Marketing Manager for Vodafone Australia.

David Fielding, Managing Partner of Attenti, who led the consultation process and the search on behalf of the RSPB said, “Rebecca is a seasoned communications professional who has led on superb global advocacy work throughout her time at WAGGGS. Reporting to the Chief Executive, Dr Mike Clarke, Rebecca will be in charge of providing corporate leadership and heralding the organisation’s Saving Nature narrative through projects, campaigns, and communications strategies.
