The Workforce Development Trust (WDT) is a not-for-profit organisation that supports workforce development and its effective utilisation for public benefit. We operate across a wide range of sectors, including health, justice, local government, hospitality, travel and retail.
The WDT acts as the parent company for Skills for Health, Skills for Justice, SFJ Awards and People 1st. We have ambitious plans for the future. As a result of our continued growth and following on from a recent governance review, we are now seeking to recruit a Chair of one of our subsidiary boards, SFJ Awards as well as a number of high calibre Trustees to join our main group board.
As Chair, you will provide leadership of the SFJ Board, creating the right conditions for overall Board effectiveness and ensure effective relationships and reporting to the WDT Board. You will support the executive and act as an ambassador promoting our work. To be successful as Chair (in addition to being a group board trustee) you will have a proven track record of successful strategic leadership. An understanding of the environment in which SFJ Awards operates together with knowledge of the skills and qualifications frameworks across the UK would be an advantage but is not essential.
These are exciting roles at a time of significant opportunities that will give challenge and reward in equal measure. To read the appointment brief for more information and how to apply please, CLICK HERE
