The Workforce Development Trust (WDT) is a not-for-profit organisation that supports workforce development and its effective utilisation for public benefit. We operate across a wide range of sectors, including health, justice, local government, hospitality, travel and retail.
The WDT acts as the parent company for Skills for Health, Skills for Justice, SFJ Awards and People 1st. We have ambitious plans for the future. As a result of our continued growth and following on from a recent governance review, we are now seeking to recruit a number of high calibre Trustees to join our main group board, one of whom will also be a (Remunerated) Chair of one of our subsidiary boards, SFJ Awards.
To be successful as a Trustee you will have a proven track record of successful strategic leadership, strong communication skills and a sophisticated understanding of leadership, management and governance. We are particularly interested in individuals who have a background in one or more of the following areas;
- Business Development and Sales
- Digital and IT
- Marketing, communications and PR
- Health and Social Care
- Justice, Community safety, security and protection
- Retail, hospitality, travel, tourism and aviation
